Hair Transplant

Turkey is one of the leading countries in the field of hair transplants thanks to the skills and higher education that Turkish doctors have acquired, which has led Turkey to occupy this advanced position internationally.

Baldness is one of the most common problems in the world. The rate is around 30% for those under 30 and 50% for those over 50.

Causes of Baldness In Men:

- The genetic factor.

- Alopecia: a skin disease that affects the scalp.

- Tensions and stresses.

- Advanced age.

- Chemicals used to straighten hair, such as gel, fixative, and some types of shampoo.

- Swimming in waters containing a high salt content.

The Causes of Baldness In Women:

- Hormonal disorder.

- Taking certain medications.

- Psychological state.

- The genetic factor.

- Alopecia areata.

- Hair Transplant is a process to drastically treat the problem of baldness to restore the person to the required hair density, self-confidence and happiness.

- Baldness usually appears on the front of the head, on the sides of the head, and in the middle of the head as where the hair density varies until it reaches complete baldness.

Treatments for baldness:

Mixtures of oils and natural dyes.

Nutrition and aromatic herbs.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment.

Hair Transplant.

How Are Hair Transplants Performed?

The scalp is made up of follicles that contain the hair that connects it to the capillaries that feed it. In case of baldness, the scalp is totally or partially devoid of these follicles. Follicles can be single, bilateral or triple, etc., depending on the number of hairs they contain. During the hair transplantation process, hair follicles are extracted from dense hairy areas in a 1:5 ratio and then implanted inside the bald area to allow the skin to heal and the new hairs to grow.

Types of hair transplant operations:

1-FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) Hair Transplant

2-FUE (Follicular unit extraction) Hair Transplant

3-Hair transplant with Choi Pen (also known as DHI Pen).

4-Capillary graft with GCL sapphire blades.

1- FUT Hair Transplant

It is the oldest method that was abandoned not long ago after the discovery of newer methods such as GDC and Choi pen. This method involves removing part of the scalp and cutting it off, depending on where the baldness is, but as it left a scar across the width of the head, many people did not like it, in particular also because of the need for total anesthesia and its unfavorable success rates.

2- FUE Hair Transplant:

Transplant in which the hair is completely shaved so that the doctor can know the location of the follicles. Channels are opened in the head using a medical blade, their diameter is estimated at 1.3 mm, and then the doctor implants the follicles in these channels.

3-DHI Hair Transplant:

This process does not require shaving the hair completely, so it is more suitable for women.

After the follicles are extracted from the donor area, they are placed inside the pointed Choi pen, which opens a channel and implants them at the same time by pressing a button. Moreover, it is considered the best way to intensify the density of hair because the doctor during this process opens channels of only 0.8 mm in width.

Healing is rapid and the recovery period is shorter.

4- Capillary Graft with GCL Sapphire Blades:

This is almost exactly the GDC method, but the channels in this case are opened with a pen with a piece of sharp sapphire, attached to its head, so the channels are smaller and more precise, and the wounds heal quickly in using natural materials during the grafting process.

Hair Transplant Risks:

 - Tingling in the head when opening the channels.

  - Constitution of a crust on the scalp.

  - The hair relapses again and the surgery fails

   - Error in setting the direction of follicle grafting, which makes the hair inconsistent.

  - Transmission of diseases in case of care by non-specialized centers .

Plasma Hair Treatment:

Human blood contains white and red blood cells and plasma. Plasma cells have many properties, the most important of which is that they contain growth stimulants. During the plasma injection process, blood samples are taken from the patient, filtered, and then injected back into the bald area, thus the plasma reaches the capillaries and roots of the follicles and works to reactivate them.
