In women, a pretty smile starts with the size and shape of the lips. Over time, the volume of the lips may decrease. Alternatively, more simply, you want to increase the size of your lips.
Lips augmentation is today a simple intervention that is done based on a product naturally secreted by the body: hyaluronic acid, also called in English "filler". After a lip augmentation by injection, you will find a radiant and sensual mouth and smile.
It is a surgical procedure performed most often under local anesthesia. The procedure consists of reinjecting the patient's fat into the thin portion of the lip, in order to thicken it, using miniaturized instrumentation adapted to the face. This technique is called micro facial lipofilling.
Different Forms of Lips Augmentation:
- Complete lips filling and augmentation.
-Filling the middle of the lips or what is called the round filling.
-Filling in the shape of a heart, which is a simple filling in the middle of the lips.
-Filling in the shape of an arc, making the lips look longer and thinner.
-Fuller Top, in which the upper lip is filled in more than the lower lip.
Tips before Lips Augmentation:
1. Avoid filler injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
2. If you have a history of cold sores, there is a risk that needle sticks may trigger a recurrence of cold sores. Please let the doctor know if you are prone to cold sores or herpes simplex infections so they can prescribe medication for you to start before your appointment.
3. Avoid dental procedures or cleanings 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after filler injections.
4. Avoid vaccinations 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after a filler treatment.
5. Let us know in advance of your appointment if you have an active infection (such as tooth infection, ear infection, sinusitis, urinary tract infection).

Procedure of a Session of Injections in the Lips:
Before any injection session, in order to beautify the lips, an initial consultation is carried out at OREC Clinic. During this meeting, the Doctor listens to your aesthetic needs and expectations.
After an analysis of your face and your lips, the doctor can define the most suitable treatment to meet your wishes. He will ask you about your personal and family history or about your allergies to ensure that there ıs no contraindication prevents the treatment of your lips with these injections. This is also the ideal time to ask all your questions about the rest of the treatment.
On the day of the injection session, the Doctor will clean and disinfect your lips. He then proceeds to administer the desired product. This procedure only lasts 15 minutes and is not painful.
The result is visible for 12 months for hyaluronic acid and 3 to 6 months for Botox.
